new stone discovered
In this list, scientists have placed 2023 DW at the first place. On the one hand, the stone ranks first in the list of risks, on the other hand, the Torino scale ranking of the stone has also got the number-1 spot. This means that there is no danger from the stone which can cause destruction. However, being at the first place in the risk list only means that something may bring disaster. Scientists say that its diameter is 50 meters and its length is as much as an Olympic-sized swimming pool. However, its size can be even bigger.
Collision can happen in 2046
The agency said that people do not need to be afraid because this stone will collide not today or tomorrow, but after 20 years i.e. in 2046, that too on Valentine’s Day. Not only this, the year of its collision can be from 2047 to 2051, but scientists claim that it will collide in those years only on Valentine’s Day. According to ESA, there is only 1 chance out of 607 that it will hit the earth. The same information was also given on an official Twitter account associated with NASA.
